These Jizo statues stand in Jiunji Temple.
They are called “Bake Jizo” because of the legend that the number of statues seems to change between the way there and back.

The flowing river is the Daiya River, and this unique scenic spot was formed long ago by lava that erupted from Mount Nantai.
